If you’re reading this, chances are you’re familiar with Santa Claus and his holiday mission of delivering gifts to good kids all over the world. So now let’s see what’s going on in the North pole.
Today, Santa’s workshop is a very modern factory equipped with sensors that measure different parameters of a toy as it moves through each stage of production. The data is then transmitted to the cloud, where it can be analyzed in real-time to ensure that every toy looks perfect before getting wrapped for Christmas eve delivery.
Santa uses more than just elves to help him in his work. He also uses robots (The Elf Robots) to help him with the production process (preparation of the toys) and delivery process (delivery of the toys). This allows Santa to keep track of where each toy is at any given time in his production chain. This way, he can check in on all his toys as they are being produced and delivered.
In addition, Santa also has an advisor who looks over his shoulder every step of the way, providing dashboards and reports on how each toy is being made and delivered, all the while ensuring that no errors occur. He knows when the ovens are heating up, what temperature they should be set at, which conveyor belts need cleaning, and most importantly, are there enough carrots for Rudolph and his buddies. This way, Santa can make adjustments when necessary.
Santa’s smart factory has evolved through the years, same as the manufacturing industry.
They have implemented what is known as Industry 4.0, a major paradigm shift for manufacturers to improve quality, reduce waste, and boost productivity.
If centuries-old Santa’s factory can adapt to the paradigm shift, no reason you should be left behind.
We wish you a prosperous new year with zero downtime, lower emissions, high energy efficiency, and increased productivity. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
